MAIN MEETINGS
In the main hall of the Swedenborg Society, 20-21, Bloomsbury Way, London. 6.00 pm for a 6.30 pm lecture

Thursday, 15 May
LECTURE: ‘English Clockmakers Trading in the Ottoman and Chinese markets 1580 - 1815’ by Ian White.

Ian White has been researching this historical area relating to clockmaking for some time with a view to publishing a book in the near future..

The Swedenborg Hall is close to Holborn underground station and the British Museum and is the new venue for AHS main meetings. The entrance to the hall is just off Bloomsbury Way, in Barter Lane and the doors open for admittance at 6.00 pm. Please be aware that there is no access before this time.

 MEETING: ‘From clocks with style to styled clocks’, a lecture about styles, periods and their characteristics by Jaap Zeeman, a member of the board of the AHS Dutch Section and renowned author of several books on clocks.

Thursday, 15 May
At Sotheby’s Amsterdam, start at 13.30 pm.
MEETING: In cooperation with our host Jos Meis for all members of the Federation ‘Klokkenvrienden’ a special private preview of the furniture and clock sale at Sotheby’s Amsterdam.
